Following a week-long trial, a jury found that an energy company had trespassed against the interests of mineral lessees when rapidly-migrating hydrogen sulfide from the energy company’s injection well interfered with the mineral lessees’ drilling plans. The judgment awarded the mineral lessees over $40 million in damages. The energy company appealed the verdict to the San Antonio court of appeals, and MBS represents one of the mineral lessees in defending the verdict.
